M. Scott McCoy joined Holden Willits PLC in 2025. His practice focuses on arbitration, mediation, and special master work. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s roster of neutrals.
During his 20 years on the Maricopa County Superior Court bench, Mr. McCoy served in the civil, probate, tax, criminal, family, and juvenile departments. He presided over more than 150 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials and evidentiary hearings. From 2021 to 2025, Mr. McCoy was a member of Maricopa County’s Commercial Court, a court dedicated to handling business and corporate management litigation. At the same time, he served on the Complex Civil Litigation Court, a calendar populated with the most complex and challenging civil cases. He has managed and adjudicated a wide range of sophisticated commercial, real estate, and construction matters.
Before taking the bench, Mr. McCoy practiced complex civil and environmental litigation for 15 years at national and regional firms.
