It is with great sadness that we announce R. Stewart Halstead, who was of counsel to Holden Willits PLC, recently passed way unexpectedly.  Mr. Halstead started working with Holden Willits in 2000 and was a beloved friend of the firm’s lawyers for decades.  He was a prominent figure in Arizona's legal community since coming to the state after receiving his law degree from Yale University in 1972.  His obituary may be read by clicking here. As summed up by one of our former colleagues on hearing the sad news, “Stu had one of the most brilliant minds of anyone I have known.  More importantly, he was a genuinely nice, funny and interesting person.” We share that sentiment and mourn his passing.  We have lost a wonderful friend and colleague.
