Joseph J. Glenn has been practicing law for over 16 years.  His practice areas include title insurance, commercial litigation, real estate and construction litigation, and appeals.  In his career, he has represented title insurers, property owners, banks, homebuilders, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and small business owners.  In addition to his litigation practice, he has also represented numerous clients in the drafting and negotiation of a variety of contracts. 

Mr. Glenn’s experience includes successful jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and evidentiary and administrative hearings.

Representative Matters

  • Prevailed in jury trial against homeowners’ association, resulting in an award of over $1.2 million and mandatory injunction requiring association to perform drainage system repairs.
  • Prevailed on summary judgment, defeating a $7 million title insurance claim involving the purchase of 112 acres of real property.
  • Prevailed on summary judgment against a county on a claim to enforce a private easement through conservation land.
  • Prevailed against a national bank at the trial court and Arizona Court of Appeals in litigation over a deed of trust.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a title insurer against a large developer asserting title insurance coverage for multimillion-dollar liens in connection with an $86 million loan.
  • Obtained dismissal of various bad faith claims against title insurers.
  • Obtained temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions to prevent sales of real property.
  • Prevailed on summary judgment in trial court and on appeal on behalf of lender asserting right to foreclose on property.
  • Prevailed on summary judgment on behalf of large telecommunications providers.
  • Prevailed for clients in matters involving lien priority, easements, property boundaries, and adverse possession.
  • Successfully resolved numerous construction disputes involving claimed defects, mechanic’s liens, and change orders.
